For treatment of excessive menstrual bleeding, Dr. De La Rosa is utilizing an outpatient procedure called endometrial ablation. Endometrial ablation is a process by which all or most of the tissue that is responsible for menstrual bleeding – the endometrial lining of uterus – is permanently eliminated. After an ablation, the vast majority of patients will experience a significantly reduced menstrual flow, and many never bleed again.
